Apply knowledge of various cooking techniques in preparing recipes made with seeds, nuts, and healthy fats. Apply knowledge of proper storage to seeds and nuts. Use seeds and nuts in a variety of recipes.

Lesson 8
Animal Protein

Apply knowledge of nutrient compositions to a selection of animal proteins. Demonstrate knowledge of the environmental and health impacts of raising and consuming animal proteins. Demonstrate knowledge of sustainable farming practices as it relates to animal food production. Apply knowledge of different forms of animal proteins to select for preparation of recipes.
